Chunky Panday Narrates The FUNNY Confusion That Happened When Daughter Ananya Panday Met Naseeruddin Shah-EXCLUSIVE
Chunky Panday narrates the funny incident when his daughter met his Vishwatma and Lootere co-star Naseeruddin Shah.
Getting appreciation for your work is something every human craves for. To receive the respect and applause of your peers is one thing but being appreciated by the legends of the craft that you are honing is something completely different. One word of praise from them can make your day, but what happens if that appreciation turns out to be just a confusion? Something similar happened with the Gen-z star Ananya Panday when she met the thespian Naseeruddin Shah.
Ananya’s father Chunky Panday reveals that Naseer sahab calls him ‘Great Panday’ while he calls him ‘Sir Naseer’ out of fun and affection and how that created a bit of confusion when Ananya met him. “So, once when Ananya met Naseer sahab, he asked her about the ‘Great Panday’. Ananya thought he was talking about her, and she got so excited like ‘Oh, he is talking about me’. Then she looked at him again and then he told her, ‘I am talking about your dad’,” he laughs, saying that it was quite funny.
Chunky goes on to add, “Naseer calling anyone great is a big thing but he calls me ‘Great Panday’ in a fun way while I call him ‘sir’ because he has received the knighthood. It is just a joke between us. We have done many films together like Vishwatma and Lootere. We also did Begum Jaan together, but we didn’t share screen space there. Although, I am a huge fan of Naseer bhai. With all his work, he has been extraordinary.”
